When you first open the map, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept and Reject are equally easy. If you reject or ignore it, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the map panel. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies.

The map saves a few settings in your browser's local storage so features you use keep working. They stay on your device, are never sent to us (except your random forecast ID when you vote) and are not used for tracking. The law treats these as strictly necessary, so they need no consent.

Clearing your browser data for worldchaosmap.app removes them, along with your followed countries and streak.
docs.worldchaosmap.app sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
